From Paphos Airport:
- Drive from Paphos Airport until you reach a 'T' junction and turn left towards Paphos.
- After about a 1 km turn right and drive North,
- then after about 1 km turn left to join the new motorway to Paphos.
- At the end of the motorway you will find a roundabout. Here you have two options the "coastal route" or the "inland route" - see below (it makes little difference in terms of time - about 5-10 minutes faster on the "inland route". Overall it should take you about 40-55 mins to drive from the airport to the villa. Both routes are interesting with spectacular scenery.
The Coastal Route :
- At the roundabout take the first exit towards Kato Paphos.
Go straight through the next roundabout.
- You will reach a 3rd roundabout.
- Turn right and follow the signs for Coral Bay, Peyia, Kathikas,
Polis.
- In about 3 km you will straight through a set of traffic lights
onto the ombs of the Kings road.
- This a long straight coastal road with hotels and banana plantations.
- In about 10-15 mins you will have reached the Coral Bay junction
where you should turn right following the road to Peyia. You
will go straight through the village and up the mountain towards
Kathikas.
- As you approach Kathikas you should leave the main road (which
bypasses the village) and turn right to go straight through
the village.
- As you come out the other side of the village you will have
to cross the main road from Stroumbi (see the map) across to
the road signposted for Pano Akourdalia.

The Inland Route
- At the roundabout choose the 2nd exit direction to Polis. As shown on the maps this a fairly direct route. You will pass through (or by) the villages of Mesogi, Tsada and Stroumbi in sequence.
- Now, as you go through Stroumbi be alert - immediately as you exit the village you should turn left following the signs for Kathikas. Unfortunately (as you will find out) most of the road signs in Cyprus are right on the junctions giving little time for you to react.
- (If you do miss this turn do not worry, just carry on straight -towards Polis-, go through the next village (Yiolou) and about 4 km into the orange and lemon grove valley you will see signs directing you to the left -uphill -for Kato and Pano Akourdaleia.)
- Assuming you have successfully turned left after Stroumbi you are on way to Kathikas (and almost there). On reaching Kathikas follow the signs directing you right for Pano Akourdaleia.
|
- From Kathikas follow the winding road downhill through the vineyards,
with breathtaking views of the Troodos mountains and the Chrysochou
Bay. This road is about 4 km long. As you approach the village (after
one of the bends) you will suddenly see Pano Akourdaleia ahead of
you and lower down. You will also probably recognise Villa Zephyrus standing at the south-west edge of the village.
- As you enter the village you will see two villas to your left, go
past them and just before the first "old" village house turn left
and follow the road round (it is sign-posted) to your villa.
From Larnaca Airport:
- Larnaca airport is 2-2.5 hours drive away from the villa. So try and get your flight to Paphos airport if you can, although the drive from is a pleasant one.
- Basically from Larnaca airport you follow the signs for the motorway to Lemesos and Pafos.
- Once on the motorway you don't get off until you reach the large roundabout at the end, in Paphos and then you follow the directions as above.
